For the 2014 season, I´ve made a brand new seminar for all of you all round fishermen out there! It´s a little of everything "salty", and contains something for everybody and not to much of anything. For some, it will be mostly like an inspiration night, while it will be a night of information for others. Looks like the first show of this kind, will be held in Arendal at my old job; Jakt & Friluft AS in the end of February or early in March. I´ll let you all know in advance! Need...

Asgeir Alvestad promotes my seminars on his popular blog! A few days ago, I sent Asgeir some photos and some text about my seminars. Since we agreed that I´ll help him lighten his "hard work" fishing and writing blog, I´m going to take his seminars this year, if it´s possible. But, as the sales man he is, he put in much more nice words about me, that I wrote to him! Maybe it´s best like that. We Norwegians don´t like to brag about our selves, and it´s some serious bragging in this text....

It´s time for fishing and photo seminars. This, a book that I´m working on and several articles - makes my next two months very busy! Since I´ll start working as a 100% freelance photographer and journalist from February, I´m very happy for all the hard work that´s in front of me.

I thought that I was crazy when wading. But the crazy and well known seatrout fisherman, Claus Eriksen, just shows how dedicated and, dare I say; "stupid" we seatrout fishermen can get. I would never consider flyfishing without a wading stick in these conditions, but Claus - yes he did, and if you saw the movie, you know how bad that went! He is making a very exiting seatrout movie with Niels Vestergaard, that I believe will be mind blowing compared to all other seatrout movies out there!

Even if it cosy and nice to sit inside our warm house, reading a fishing magazine and drink a cup of coffee - or two; nothing beats fishing when the fish bites! And sometimes, that´s what a great storm does; it makes the fish go crazy.

Many people ask me about what camera and what lenses to buy. I try to put myself in their position and think of their needs, rather than mine. In some cases, or should I say; most cases, people end up with a Canon or a Nikon Kit, like the Canon EOS 650D with a cheap 18-55mm lens. For most people this is a good start, even if the lens is really not worth «anything». If you are not going to print a lot or make a living of shooting pro photography or video, it´s «ok» to have it in the...

Have you bought a Canon digital camera, and lost your Canon Program CD´s or just haven´t a hole in your laptop to put it? Well, check out the video here, and your are up and running after five minutes! Today I´m taking some photos in my "worm studio". By worm studio, I mean taking photos of worms on hooks, in a aquarium in my house. «Crazy?» «Me?» Anyway I had promised my self, that this time I should use my Macbook Air 13 as a monitor and as a remote control to my Canon 5D MKII camera....

Finally. After to many empty trips, the cold seems to have started the season, here in the south of Norway. It has been a strangely late season and we blame it all on the hot water temperature.

Lynda.com - Bringing the pro´s to your home - or your brain My dream is that my homepage and my blog is about fishing, photography and film making. I just have a problem. Talking and writing about fishing has been my hobby and my job for years. Photography and film making is just ways or a tools to show my work, and sadly often forgotten. Many times, the photo part is harder and more painful than the fishing, but still, the fish gets the glory, not my Canons. Today I must tell you guys about...
