Another beautiful day at sea! Together with fishing my buddies Johan and Magnus, I went fishing for cod, hoping for sea trout, outside Lillesand and Homborsund a beautiful and sunny spring day in March. We fished in “my” test boat; the Askeladden P77 Weekend. It´s rigged with a hefty 200hp Suzuki, Simrad sonars and Fusion sound, accompanied by tons of rods and gear from various brands. It was cloudy and chilly when we left the bay, and the fishing was just ok. Later on, the sun decided to...
Just like last year, it went fishing and celebrating my birthday with my family at Farsund Resort in September this year. When something works for all, such as fishing on my birthday, it would be completely crazy to change a good tradition like this!
Together with some sporty fishermen, we went out fishing in beautiful light and cold winter weather in the fjord of Oslo. I was testing a boat, some fishing equipment and hoping to get a sea trout or two, while the other guys just went fishing. We were driving a Boston Whaler Montauk 190 in 41,5 knots in minus five degrees.. That´s cold! Lucky for me, I have a Ursuit windproof survival suit and ski glasses to keep the wind away. You´ll see more from this trip in a magazine in near future!
Asgeir will normally be in the front of the camera and I will do the filming and all the editing. All movies have a specific topic, and are made short and informative, but still with a compact presentation. We might surprise you with a short fishing movie, but mainly we are planning to do these 3 to 5 minutes takes filled with tips and neat tricks so you can catch more fish!
It was Easter time, and the goal was to catch some big sea trouts from Anders new Buster S Fish. Anders has written all about it, and shared some real nice photos to give you a hint of what an amazing place it is to fish. Therefor I will not write to much about it this time, but I can tell you a little secret: The trip is a part of a new sea trout article I write for Jakt & Fiske, and soon you´ll see the whole story mixed up with some fishing tricks! Link to Anders blog about the trip;...
--- "3kg" ---- I had to call back and check if this was right, and yes - they had a nice trout bouncing in his boat. This big fishes are everyday catches in arendal, so I asked if I could come down to take some photos. Luckily they both wanted me to. Check out this nice trout and the happy guys! The happy fisherman was Niclas Bartolomei from Arendal. Soon you can read more about it on Eric´s blog: https://letsgofishing.wordpress.com/
I want to say "thanks" to everybody who joined my two seminars about sea trout fishing the last two days. On Monday I was speaking at Grenland Sportsfiskere (Skien) and yesterday I was talking sea trout at Jakt & Friluft (Arendal). About 70 people attended in both places, and I´m honored that so many wanted to listen to me and watch at my photos and videos about the fish I love so much. Best wishes with the BIG fishes to you all!
September 23 is my birthday, and at this day we checked in. But as exhausted first time parents, we didn´t want any party. Peace and a quiet night, was actually all we needed, and the choice of accommodation had therefore naturally fell on Farsund Resort. Here, deep in the idyllic fjord Bjørnsvaagen, its always peaceful - and offers good fishing for many species of fish.
