Lynda.com - Bringing the pro´s to your home - or your brain

My dream is that my homepage and my blog is about fishing, photography and film making. I just have a problem. Talking and writing about fishing has been my hobby and my job for years. Photography and film making is just ways or a tools to show my work, and sadly often forgotten. Many times, the photo part is harder and more painful than the fishing, but still, the fish gets the glory, not my Canons.

Today I must tell you guys about Lynda. She´s an actual person, but also a fantastic learning website with more than 107.000 tutorials that you can learn from. I when I say «you can» I mean it. If you don´t live in a cave, you will find TV shows, interviews, product information and of course; hundreds of professionals worldwide, teaching you what they have used their lives to learn and become good at. It´s a rare package they offer, and you can learn everything from Window Excel to advanced 3D programs.

Maybe you have bought a new program for you photos or videos? Well, they have courses and tutorials for that program for sure. This is maybe to good to be true? Yes, just a little bit. $25 to be accurate. If you want to get more than just a feeling of how good this is, you must sign up for a monthly membership. They have three different levels with extended information, downloadable tutorial packages and templates to train with. For me, the «monthly» is the way to go. I will use it this winter to learn more on my newly downloaded programs for video editing; Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects. These programs will take forever to learn on my own, and for the price of a dinner, (in Norway of course) I can now get the courses I want, and learn it from some of the best in the world. This is how I have learned Photoshop, Lightroom, iMovie, Final Cut Pro and now I am learning Motion. I learned Photoshop for free with the Photoshop TV guys (Scott Kelby and his gang), but that wasn´t a course, that was just random tv shows. Here we are talking hours of training, in the correct order. They have the same kind of learning center, but Lynda is a better solution for me and many others.

Go and take a look! Try it out for free, and see some samples and you will surely find something you´ll like.
